I feel it is my duty as an elected representative to inform you of the proposed development of the former SCA site. Please pay attention to the last date for observations below. This is the last date residents can lodge suggestions and objections.

Description of Development:
The proposed development shall provide for the demolition (c.15,426.3 sq.m) and partial conversion (c.54.6 sq.m) of the former SCA Hygiene Products facility and associated buildings on site and partial demolition (c.8,422.9 sq.m) and conversion (c.6,501.1 sq.m) of the former Amcor facility and associated buildings to provide for a mixed use development (total GFA c.33,134.7 sq.m) comprising a distribution centre (c.6,555.7 sq.m) and new loading dock area (c.150 sq.m); new office building (c.14,737.5 sq.m); and 108 residential units (c. 11,691.5 sqm). Overall, the residential component (c.11,691.5 sqm) shall provide for 68 no. house units and 40 no. duplex units in the form of 16 no. 1 bed units (c.79.3 sqm); 4 no. 2 bed units (c.84 sqm); 84 no. 3 bed units ( 102.4 - 118.2 sqm); and 4 no. 4 bed units (c.128.7 sqm), all ranging in height from 2-3 storeys and all with associated balcony / terrace / rear garden private open space areas. the new distribution centre (c.6,555.7 sqm) shall comprise conversion of the existing warehouse with new loading dock (c. 150 sqm) with an overall height of 11.5m. The new office building (c.14,737.5 sqm) shall comprise office accommodation with associated multipurpose / conference room ; kitchen and canteen areas; toilet areas; a tech - room at roof level; a service area; and terraces at third floor level, all in a building of 4 storeys in height. The overall development shall also provide for 324 no. surface car parking spaces; 260 no. bicycle parking spaces; an ESB substation; plant areas; waste storage areas; c.5,780.5 sq.m of public open spaces; c.3,952.7 sq.m of private soft landscaped areas; access points via McKee Avenue and Jamestown Road; and all associated site development works.
