Finglas Tidy Towns Annual Sweep'N'Clean a Great Success

It was great to get out with Finglas Tidy Towns Committee and Dublin City Council for our annual Sweep N’Clean event on Saturday, 5th April.

Over 50 local volunteers came along, making this years sweep'n'clean a huge success. The clean up centered around Finglas Village with volunteers meeting at the look Finglas Main Centre.  All equipment was provided by Dublin City Council.

Fianna Fáil Local Election Candidate David Costello said " you could see the community spirit everywhere you looked. with Volunteers coming from Finglas West South and east Finglas."

"If you missed this event you are welcome to join the Finglas Tidy Towns team as we commence our weekly clean up on Tuesday 8th April at 6.30pm at Finglas Library. This cleanup will continue on a weekly basis until the end of July 2014."

Philomena Murphy, Chairperson, Finglas Tidy Towns said “The Sweep N’Clean event kicks off the annual work of Finglas Tidy Towns. As a volunteer I achieved a great personal satisfaction in having a clean village.  It gives a positive outlook on Finglas – our village! It’s also a great way to socialise and meet new people”.
