Although works won't finish until the end of 2017, Luas Cross City is coming. Throughout 2014 preparatory works are ongoing. At present the relocation of underground utilities along the route is taking place. Details of ongoing works and a detailed timeline can be found here.
By the end of 2017 our community will be served by two stations:
The Cabra Stop will be located within the former Broadstone Railway Cutting, north of the Fassaugh Road overbridge and will have lateral platforms. Access to the stop will be provided from Fassaugh Road and via Mount Bernard Park serving the existing residential community.
Broombridge Stop will be located adjacent to the Iarnród Éireann station at Broombridge. This stop will have lateral platforms and will provide cross platform interchange with the Maynooth railway line. It will also serve the existing residential community and industrial and commercial premises on Bannow Road and north of the Royal Canal.
To view individual sections of the route it has been divided into planned “stop” location areas below.
