Finglas Tidy Towns

This summer, members of Finglas Tidy Towns rised to the challenge of cleaning our village. During the summer, weekly clean-ups were organised by local residents and workers from Dublin city council. Activities included: cleaning litter, weeding and planting flowers. Finglas Village was selected in 2011 as the best Urban Village in the Dublin City Neighbourhoods Awards. This October we will be trying to uphold the high standard achieved in pervious years.

The positive work carried out by the new owners of the main centre in Finglas Village must also be noted. Since they have taken over the main centre, vacant shopping units have started to be re-occupied, buildings have been repainted and the main car-park has been resurfaced. Although there is still a lot of work to be done the immediate visual impact gives us high expectations for the future.
Congratulations to all involved in this years Tidy Towns and best of luck when this years awards are announced.
