Cappagh Issues Resolved

Illegal Dumping
On a recent visit to the Cappagh area, Fianna Fail Local Area Representative David Costello met local residents who expressed concern about the level of illegal dumping in the Cappagh drive/Finglaswood road area. Dublin City Council have been made aware of this problem and a clean up has taken place in recent weeks.

David Costello would like to remind local residents that it is up to each of us to tackle this problem by reporting illegal dumping as it happens to Dublin City Council. All incidents of illegal dumping in the Finglas Area should be reported by one of the following methods:

• Free Phone Litter Hotline - 1800 251 500
• Finglas Area Office – 222 5496 / 222 5406
• northwestarea@dublincity.ie
• Customer Call Centre - 222 1000

Damaged pavement Cappagh Drive

On the request of local residents, Fianna Fail Local Area Rep David Costello requested that the damaged footpath at the bottom of cappagh drive be repaired. Following this request Cllr. Paul McAuliffe submitted an official question to the Area Manager. This issue was referred to the Road Maintenance Service, and work to repair the damaged footpath has been complete.
